⚠️ Decision model is not your decision logic in your field.
More often than not SMEs and experts in any field have a concept of modeling.
Modeling optimization.
Modeling data.
Modeling policy.
Modeling machine learning.
Modeling whatever-is-that-you-are-doing…
These models are also often confused with Decision Models.
🚩These are related to a decision model, but they are not “the” decision model.
The decision model sits at the higher level of your model (the decision logic). It connects your model (the decision logic) to other models (other decision logics).
✨The decision model establishes a network of interconnected decision logic without knowing how your logic does its job.
It only needs to know the expected input and what your outputs are, so it can link it back and communicate it to other decision logics in the network.
💥The decision model creates an inter-connected set of nodes where those nodes are connected to your decision logic. This approach enables modeling of the highly complex decision that requires many different types of decision logic.
The decision model then
🔹Resolves dependencies
🔹Executes multiple decision logic
🔹Retrieves outputs and creates new inputs
This graph of inter-connected nodes of decision units can then address more complex scenarios. It has the context of what is happening and why it should happen.
💣Benefits? Modularity, Clarity and Transparency.
